It’s a more downbeat feel to this latest update I’m afraid – after reflecting on some ongoing delays with a couple of activities at the new Spa site, Carrie & I made the tough decision over the weekend to postpone our move.
It was not an easy decision given all the time and collective efforts spent working on this since the new year, but, with a few challenges for the Spa site still outstanding and potential for them to run on for a few more weeks at least, we just couldn’t commit to pushing back our move any further and the likely impact that would have had on our busy summer trading period. We therefore, reluctantly, confirmed our formal withdrawal with the team at Ranworth Lodge Kennels, yesterday afternoon.
We’re still committed to working with David, Elaine and the rest of the folks at the kennels and will be on hand to support their boarding & day care packages with our bathing & grooming services, but this will be from our existing Salon premises at Mucklestone for the time being.
A disappointing outcome for Carrie & I along with a number of our customers I’m sure, but this should give us time to make sure we’re fully prepared for the summer season, rather than risk the complications of trying to move the business ‘in-flight’ to a new site when a few elements are still a little up in the air/a few weeks off.
We’ll have an update before the end of the month on how our preparations are going for the summer and hopefully what elements we can take from our original plans for the Spa site, that could be brought into the current Salon setup instead.
Speak soon xx
John.
