Our Experience

Scruffies is a family run business, passionate about delivering excellent service and taking great pride in everything that we do. We have invested many hours into establishing our business and ensuring we are correctly trained & keep pace with, the very latest industry tools and techniques.

Whether it’s a pedicure, a relaxing soak in our specialist bath, or a complete make over for your pet, we offer a range of professional grooming services from our fully equipped salon in Mucklestone, near Loggerheads.

In summer of 2014 we completed our practical training achieving ‘merit’ & ‘distinction’ awards in the Level 3 Certificate For Dog Grooming Stylists through City & Guilds. In November 2014 were one of the very first in the UK to sit the new combined on-line examinations.

The certification included a number of theory & practical assessments covering modules such as:

  • Assessing and planning dog grooming work
  • Health checking a dog by a dog groomer
  • Bathing and cleaning a dog
  • Controlling and restraining animals
  • Effective salon management
  • Welcoming, receiving and caring for visitors to site
